About Pegler Consulting Ltd
We are a UK-based independent statistical consultancy providing training and advice on data analysis, household and business surveys, and the interpretation and presentation of data.
Some of the key projects we have completed include:
Providing options and recommendations on the best approach to collect new data to underpin government policy
Providing advice on the sample size required and the approximate budget needed to conduct a new survey of households
Providing recommendations on the comparability of the results from two separate surveys - one conducted online, the other conducted face-to-face.
Experience
The director of Pegler Consulting is Kat Pegler who worked previously as a statistician in the UK Civil Service. Her responsibilities as a member of the UK Government Statistical Service included:
Development, improvement and routine publication of key measures of inflation including the UK Producer Price Index (PPI) for manufacturing, services and construction
Advising on the use of price indices to account for inflation in long term procurement contracts and providing forecasts for inflation.
Assessing statistics produced across the UK government for compliance with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics
Monitoring performance and developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
